A clean and comfortable stay at the King's Head Hotel. Staff were friendly and the cooked breakfasts very good. Situated in the centre of Wimborne Minster with a variety of restaurants and pubs to choose from.
The windows are old and rattled during some windy nights which, unfortunately, disturbed our sleep.
Good friendly hotel, decent menu served by cheerful staff. Room comfortable.
Staircarpets need renewal
Nice old hotel/pub with parking and right on the town square. Very pleasant staff, good food/ales/wines and sensibly priced. We liked it so much we have already booked to return later this year !
Some of the old window frames need a little tlc ! otherwise all facilities are fine.
Comfortable rooms, good food and friendly staff. As we had to leave hotel before breakfast was available, we were offered a partial refund to compensate. Overall, good value for money compared to similar hotels in Bournemouth, a great alternative if everything else is fully booked!
Staff were friendly and welcoming, good atmosphere in pub, good food in restaurant.
Stairs and corridors to rooms are a bit tired and could do with a facelift.
Good town centre location with good access to surrounding area. Hotel room was fair size and food in restaurant was excellent for the price.
big fluffly towels, bath, evening menu, breakfast
being woken up by traffic noise at 5 30.duvet to heavey for summer, had to sleep without it on the bed
It was good value for money and well located. Set in a very pretty little town. Staff was friendly and the room was a very good size for the price, as well as being comfortable and clean.
Only thing that bothered us were the church bells every so often in the middle of the night!
I booked this hotel as I was visiting family nearby. Excellent location if you don't have a car - bus/taxi just outside in the Square. Very good restaurant - met my family in the evening for dinner. Breakfast very good. Staff cheerful, helpful and atmosphere very good. Other guests seemed to be enjoying their stay - did not hear one bad comment! Room very clean and comfortable. Although based in the Square and bustling with people and traffic there was no noise at night. Shops/attractions are lovely. Wimborne is a very attractive town - everywhere I visited people were friendly.
I booked 2 nights mid-week and thought it was a little expensive. I had a limited view from my bedroom window and there was a family of pigeons nesting in the guttering - I didn't need an early morning alarm call! The room was also very warm even though it was cool outside - kept the window open all the time. Only two electric sockets in the room and this is not enough! One was used for the Television and if you need to charge your phone/laptop, use hairdryer and kettle you have to juggle what you want to use!
The breakfast was excellent - in fact the best we had during our 3 weeks in the uk. However, the kippers were processed supermarket ones and not up to the standard of the other options.
Comfortable bed, spacious room new bathroom polite, friendly, helpful staff on site parking food was excellent
general decor poor in hotel although could see some recent work has been done- had large patches of damp on walls in our room,
The staff were very friendly and helpful. Meals and drinks were excellent quality and at a good price
The cleanliness of the room could have been better, (old blood stain on the inside of the bathroom door. And it generally felt like it could do with a fresh coat of paint. but still good value for money
Staff very friendly, good value, good location
Found staff evry friendly and the Hotel was clean and comfortable. Location was convenient to relatives we wished to visit..
Staff very helpful and friendly, good location for my visit.
Although the hotel was okay for my visit, I felt the place, although comfortable, could do with a bit of a makeover. It has character, but it needs to modernise itself a bit. Having said this, I would stay again.
